American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float RN with telemetry experience and 2+ years of experience for a night shift position requiring an SC or compact RN license.
Requirements
- Active RN license (SC or Compact) required; pending license accepted if obtained prior to start
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6
- Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and starting/maintaining IVs
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience with CVA, neurological/psychiatric, and renal failure patient care
- Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and oxygen administration via nasal cannula
Responsibilities
- MS/Tele Float position on 4 North, part of a resource pool floating to 5 MS and 4 Tele units
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
- Required to work every other weekend
- Uses Epic EMR
- Float requirements to other MS units as needed
- Float to 5 MS and 4 Tele units as part of a resource pool
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius rule
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Staff RNs who previously worked at the facility cannot return as travelers
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration
