Travel RN - Leadership - Supervisor

American Traveler is hiring a RN House Supervisor for a day shift hospital position requiring CA RN licensure and at least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration


• Current BLS and PALS certifications required


• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required


• 2 references covering 1 year of supervisory experience within the last 3 years, which may include Charge RNs or Leads


• Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates if applicable

Responsibilities

• Inpatient acute care hospital setting in the House Supervisor role


• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts starting at 5:30 AM


• Responsibilities include emergency care, code management, crisis intervention, bed management, and rapid response team oversight


• Oversees patient admissions, discharges, transfers to higher level care, and post-surgical/post-procedure care


• Supervises nursing care delivery across all units organizationally


• Floating between sister facilities within the state may be required


• Epic EMR experience required


• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day


• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be accommodated


• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate


• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility


• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (DPH, TJC, OSHA) and infection control/isolation procedures expected


• Emphasis on professional customer service, workplace safety, and legal aspects of care including AMA discharges and sentinel event reporting
