American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring WA State/Compact RN licensure and NRP/FHM certifications.
Requirements
- Active WA State or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and FHM
- Must adhere to Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
- 3x12-hour day/evening shifts totaling 36 hours per week, scheduled
- No on-call responsibilities
- Must float as a sitter and may float in rotation to other units
- Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit standards
- Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
- Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Educate patients and families on relevant health information in a timely manner
- Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the healthcare team
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff per hospital and unit policies
