American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a Level 1 unit requiring NRP and STABLE certifications with night shift availability.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and STABLE Certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- BSN not required
- Copy of unexpired driver's license required for consideration
Responsibilities
- Work in a Labor & Delivery/Mother Baby unit within an acute care hospital
- Level 1 unit caring for women and infants until stable for discharge or transfer
- Average of 20 deliveries per month
- Uses EPIC EMR system
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Provide labor and delivery and postpartum mother-baby nursing care
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel positions
- Interview directly with the unit manager as part of the hiring process
- Travelers who previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
- Former permanent staff at this facility are not eligible to return as travelers
- Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one year cumulatively before requiring a 2-year break
