Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a High Risk OB position requiring labor and delivery, c-section, and magnesium drip experience.
Details
- Work in a 25-bed High Risk OB unit within a Women's and Children's building
- Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 6:1 depending on acuity
- Charge nurse/CNC coverage each shift with unit secretary support when available
- Uses Connect and Expanse documentation systems
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Floating required to OB ED, Mother Baby, and Labor and Delivery units
- Unit performs c-sections, vaginal deliveries, and bereavement care
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- High risk antepartum, labor and delivery, and c-section experience required
- Experience with magnesium drips and circulating c-sections required
- GYN experience required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Care for high risk obstetric patients including antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum populations
- Required to wear navy blue, seal blue, or grey scrubs
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- First-time travelers may be considered
