Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit within the Birthplace
- Provide care to mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods
- Day shift schedule from 07:00-19:30
- 13-week assignment length
- Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Direct and guide patient and family teaching activities
- Guide and oversee activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining unit standards of care
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and visitors
- Utilize chain of command as needed to ensure patient well-being
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel positions
