Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13‑week night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license and 2+ years of experience.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• EMR experience specific to the facility's system required

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit within the Birthplace department
• Cares for mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• 13‑week assignment length
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing staff
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and visitors
• Utilize chain of command as needed to ensure patient safety and appropriate care
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions
