American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3 years of L&D experience and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly desired
- NRP, BLS, and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
- AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required
- 3 years of L&D experience required
- At least 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the specialty area required
- Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the last 12 months preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
- US SSN required for consideration
Responsibilities
- 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week on a rotating schedule from 7:00am to 7:00pm
- Patient population includes females of childbearing age, pregnant from 17 weeks gestation, laboring patients, and those undergoing scheduled procedures such as C-sections, external cephalic versions, and cerclage
- Unit activity includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op care, and deliveries (vaginal and C-section)
- Uses Fetal Monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink documentation systems
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, no local candidates accepted
- RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration
