Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a LDRP unit requiring couplet care experience and AWHONN Intermediate certification.

Details

  • LDRP unit within a hospital setting providing labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
  • Cares for couplets and antepartum patients, with high risk pregnancy experience considered a plus
  • Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from
  • Call required for 3-4 shifts per 8-week block
  • Floating required to Pediatrics and NICU, with ability to safety sit on any unit

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Montana or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
  • AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of prior Labor & Delivery RN experience required
  • Prior charge experience preferred
  • Experience in couplet care, high risk antepartum, and LDRP settings required

Additional Information

  • Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum stages including high risk pregnancies
  • Skilled in fetal monitoring, including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement
  • Experienced in managing high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, PPROM, preterm labor, and VBAC/TOL
  • Proficient in postpartum care including hemorrhage management, cesarean section recovery, and lactation support
  • Skilled in medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
  • Local candidates are not accepted; must reside 75+ miles from the facility
  • References required at time of consideration
  • Former permanent employees of the facility must have taken a 2-year break in service before eligibility
