American Traveler is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center position requiring on‑call availability and cardiovascular intervention experience.
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience including 1 year of critical care experience
- Cardiovascular Intervention experience required
- Must successfully pass an EKG test prior to completion of orientation
Responsibilities
- Hospital‑based Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab setting within a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Day shift schedule with on‑call rotation covering weeknights, weekends, and holidays
- Uses Epic EMR
- Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing standards and state practice regulations
- Develops and executes individualized patient plans of care in coordination with physician orders and hospital policy
- Provides patient and family education and participates in department performance improvement activities
- Holiday coverage required
