American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with CT/compact license and community hospital experience for a 13-week day shift assignment.
Requirements
- Active RN license (CT state or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- CPI, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications preferred
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring experience
- Central line care and management experience
- IV therapy and starting IV experience
- Care of ventilated patients and ventilator management experience
Responsibilities
- Work in the ICU of a community hospital
- Adult patient population
- 12-hour day shift schedule (7:00 AM-7:30 PM), 3x12 or 36 hours accepted
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Float required to MS/Tele and Tele units within scope of practice
- Uses Accudose medication system, Cerner documentation, and SBAR communication
- Blue scrubs required
- Provide critical care nursing to adult ICU patients including ventilator management and cardiac monitoring
- Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as needed
- Apply infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE protocols
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
