American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Advanced Care/EMU unit requiring IL licensure and at least three years of relevant nursing experience.
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Responsibilities
- Work in the Advanced Care/EMU unit of a hospital setting
- Monitors EMU patients 24/7 for seizure activity
- Works alongside critical care team and hospitalists for Advanced Care patients
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- No on-call requirements
- No floating required
- 5 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period
- Every other holiday coverage required
- Epic charting system used
- Responsible for a designated group of patients, performing assessments, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions
- Utilizes meaningful hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and whiteboards to maintain communication with patients and families
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
- Reports and corrects safety hazards and incidents
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not be continuously on assignment for more than 1 year at this health system without a 6-month break in service
