American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an ICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency.
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact) currently in hand
- MA license required if applicable
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
Responsibilities
- 10-bed ICU treating critically ill adult patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-surgical complications
- Occasional management of pediatric patients requiring stabilization prior to transfer
- Cares for acute stroke patients supported by telestroke/tele-neurology services as part of a Primary Stroke Center
- Utilizes Epic EMR system
- 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
- Requires working every third weekend
- No floating or charge responsibilities required
- 8-week assignment length
- Provide critical care nursing to a mixed adult ICU population, including cardiac, surgical, and stroke patients
- Work alongside intensivists and hospitalists in a community hospital ICU setting
- Accepts local candidates
- Returning employees must complete a 6-month break between assignments at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility
- Pass/fail testing may be required for Tele/ECG and Medication competency
- Required vaccinations include COVID (plus booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
