Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Hilo, Hawaii.

Registered Nurse (RN)

This position requires 12-hour night shifts from 1845 to 0715. You will be scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation, with no guarantee of hours.

A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required for this role.

Candidates must hold the following certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Procedural Sedation, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) are preferred.

Candidates not currently possessing an active State of Hawaii license must apply for one upon acceptance of the job offer. A Hawaii license is required by the start of the assignment.

This role involves floating between various medical and surgical units as a Flex RN.

• Medical Unit
• Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute)
• Cardiovascular Unit (on rare occasions)

Nurse-to-patient ratios vary by unit:

• Medical Unit: 1:6 for days and evenings; 1:8 for nights
• Laulima Unit: 1:6
• Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4

Ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves.

The following equipment is utilized within the unit/department:

• Meditech EMR
• Pyxis
• Wound vac
• Chest tubes

Professional nursing attire, including clean scrubs, is required.

Orientation time will be provided for each unit to ensure readiness for the role.

Holiday coverage is required for this position.
