American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic charting experience required
Responsibilities
- Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department setting
- Day shift schedule from 7:00AM-7:30PM
- 3 12-hour shifts per week with a 2-week night shift rotation per contract
- No block scheduling
- 1 call shift per 6-week schedule
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
- Floating required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department environment
- Perform patient assessments, develop and modify care plans, and implement nursing interventions in collaboration with the care team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
- Uphold safety standards and report or correct safety hazards
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, patients, and families
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
