American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and MO or compact RN licensure.
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration, must be in-hand prior to start
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- TNCC certification preferred
- 2+ years of ED nursing experience required
- Emergency department clinical skills required
- EPIC charting experience preferred but not required
- Experience with a broad range of ED conditions including pediatrics, trauma, cardiac monitoring, respiratory management, and neurological emergencies
Responsibilities
- Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
- Every other weekend required, with occasional every third weekend based on staffing needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- No floating required
- Uses EPIC EMR system
- Self-scheduling with block scheduling allowed unless staffing gaps require balancing
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and orthopedic cases
- Perform triage and manage isolation precautions/PPE
- Skills include IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line management, and medication administration including vasopressors and sedation
- Any scrub color permitted
- Expect to work some holidays
- Time off requests should be submitted in advance, with preference for no time off during the first weeks of the assignment
