American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Free-Standing Emergency Department position requiring a TX or compact license and over 2 years of FSED/ED experience.
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS, and CPI
- Minimum of 2 years of FSED/ED experience requiredProficiency with tough sticks, large bore IVs, blood cultures, triage, and monitoring required
- Ability to work with minimal oversight preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Responsibilities
- Freestanding Emergency Department setting with 11 beds
- Staffed with 3 RNs on day shift and 3 RNs on night shift
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Equipment includes trauma response, point-of-care lab, and precipitous delivery supplies
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required to other FSED/ED units
- Provide emergency care including trauma response, point-of-care lab testing, and precipitous delivery support
- Manage emergency protocols including code blue, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis response
- Royal blue scrub attire required
- Flexible team players with strong teamwork skills are the ideal fit
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
