American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Emergency Department night shift role requiring Critical Care and TNCC certification at a Level III Trauma Center.
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- NIH Stroke Certification required
- CPI certification required for ER units
- Critical Care experience required
- 1 year of recent ED experience required
- ENPC certification preferred
- Ultrasound IV skills preferred
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
Responsibilities
- 13-week travel assignment on a 24-bed main ED with 12 fast track and 8 hall beds
- Night shift 7P-7A
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Uses Belmont, Sono-Site, Arctic Sun, Bair Hugger, and Lucas equipment
- Charts in Meditech EMR
- No on-call requirement
- No floating requirement
- Perform airway and resuscitation management, procedural sedation, chest tube insertion, wound care, and splinting
- Work in a Magnet with Distinction hospital recognized for nursing excellence
- Level III Trauma Center with the only Level III NICU in Denton County, a Level II Maternal Center, and a Primary Stroke Center
- Department supported by a dedicated Emergency Resource Nurse at 7am and 7pm shift changes for critical patients and resuscitations
- Clinical Staff Support role provides additional resources throughout the department
- ED leadership maintains visible presence to assist with operational needs and patient care
- Zero tolerance culture for workplace violence
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
