American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ED experience and TNCC certification.
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
- Experience with procedures such as tPA administration, STEMI care, CPR, laceration repair, and orthopedic care
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
Responsibilities
- Emergency Department unit with 19 beds
- Night shift team includes 1 charge nurse, 1 triage nurse, 4 bedside RNs, 1 HUC, and 1 tech
- Patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1
- Uses Philips monitoring equipment and Meditech EMR
- 13-week assignment on a 7P-7A night shift schedule
- Rotating weekends required with no on-call obligations
- No floating required
- Deliver emergency nursing care across a range of acute and trauma presentations
- Positive, team-oriented culture fit valued on the unit
- Royal blue scrub color required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration
