American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with interventional cardiac experience and Cerner proficiency for a 13‑week assignment at an acute care hospital.
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in hand at time of application
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or Red Cross accepted, RQI cards not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
- Experience with Circulate Procedures, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), Left Heart Catheterization, Right Heart Catheterization, and Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring required
- Experience with Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring required
- Skilled in Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias and Monitoring Procedural Sedation
- Cerner charting experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Responsibilities
- Work in a 5-room Cath Lab unit with an average daily census of 25
- 3x12 Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Will work 2-3 weekends per contract
- On-call required as needed
- Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
- Uses Cerner charting system
- Level I trauma center and Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 562 staffed beds
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Scrubs provided by facility
- Parking permit required at no cost, completed during orientation
- Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 non-holiday RTO days may be approved, with additional days requiring facility approval
- Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
- Travel pairs are not accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
