Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a Des Moines hospital requiring at least 24 months of Cardiac Cath/CCL experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 24 months of Cardiac Cath/CCL experience required
• Circulating and monitoring experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Structural heart experience highly preferred
• EP experience highly preferred
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Scrubbing experience preferred
• Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab discipline required
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit at a hospital
• Days shift, 4x10s, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday with a random day off (schedule cannot be blocked)
• 40 hrs/week with holiday rotation
• On-call requirements of 1-2 nights/week and every 3rd weekend (7:30p Friday through 7a Monday)
• Weekend requirements are call-based with occasional assigned cases
• Uses Epic EMR
• Must be willing to float across Des Moines campuses to like units
• Precepting may be required as needed
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Past UPH employees (FTE or PRN float pool) may not accept travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation
• This restriction does not apply if prior employment was as a travel contractor at UPH
