American Traveler is hiring a Case Management RN for an acute care hospital position requiring 2 years of hospital case management experience and a CA RN license.
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required, pending licenses accepted but must be active by start date
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital Case Manager experience performing care coordination and discharge planning
- Hospital experience is required
- Prior travel experience required, though first-time travelers may be considered pending clinical screening
- Experience with care coordination, discharge planning, plan of care, and InterQual Criteria utilization preferred
- Knowledge of CMS and Department of Health regulatory standards preferred
Responsibilities
- Acute care hospital setting within the Case Management department
- 1:20 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Weekend rotation required to meet department needs
- No floating expected within the facility, but travelers may float between sister facilities
- Epic EMR experience required
- Responsible for care coordination and discharge planning within an acute care hospital setting
- Scrubs or business attire accepted
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
- Must reside within 50 miles for local candidate consideration
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply pending clinical screening
