American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital position requiring 2 years of case management experience and a CA RN license.
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required, pending license accepted if licensed by start date
- 2 years of acute care hospital Case Manager experience performing care coordination and discharge planning required
- Hospital experience required
- Prior travel experience required, though first-time travelers will be screened for consideration
- Epic EMR experience required
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Responsibilities
- Acute care hospital setting within the Case Management department
- Patient ratio of 1:20
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Weekend rotation required to meet department needs
- No floating expected
- Uses Epic EMR
- Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, plan of care development, and utilization of InterQual criteria
- Familiarity with CMS guidelines and DRG regulatory concepts
- Scrubs or business attire accepted
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
- First-time travelers accepted, subject to clinical screening
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for standard travel rate
