Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiovascular ICU RN with Impella, IABP, and post open heart care experience for a hospital assignment in Oklahoma City.
Details
- Cardiovascular ICU setting within a hospital
- Patients requiring Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), CRRT, ECMO, and post open heart day 2 care
- Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact (eNLC) license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Experience with Impella, IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and post open heart recovery care required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Additional Information
- Provides direct nursing care to an assigned group of ICU cardiovascular patients
- Monitors and documents patient responses to treatments and interventions, notifying physicians of changes
- Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
- Assists physicians with diagnostic procedures and minor treatments
- Communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Strict compliance deadlines apply; onboarding must begin immediately upon offer
- Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks prior to start date
- Returning workers may only extend once for a maximum of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
