American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a day shift position requiring MD or compact RN license, ACLS, BLS, and NIH certification.
Requirements
- Active RN license (MD State or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Cardiac telemetry nursing experience required
Responsibilities
- Cardiac Telemetry unit with an average daily census of 25 across 22 rooms/30 beds
- Adult patient population with primary or secondary cardiac diagnoses, primary stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac cath patients
- Remote telemetry monitoring via Hicuity System
- Specialty drips include non-titratable Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Protonix, and Lasix
- Uses Zebra portable phones, Alaris IV pumps, and Coviden feeding pumps
- Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within the specialty to lower acuity units as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Provide telemetry nursing care to adult cardiac, stroke/TIA, and post-cath patients
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled
- Navy blue scrubs required
