Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring Charge RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Pre/post procedural unit supporting Cath Lab, EP Lab, PV Lab, and Interventional Radiology patients
• Cares for Same Day PCI patients and those requiring arterial/venous access site monitoring
• Some patients require telemetry monitoring while others do not
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays required
• Department operates from 5:30am to 9:00pm
• May float to any Cone Health campus as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior Charge RN experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Understanding of arterial and venous access site care, including radial and ulnar access and hemostasis management
• Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG monitoring
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (Pass/Fail, two attempts allowed)
• Current driver's license required for address verification

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation for a pre/post procedural patient population
• Requires knowledge of Same Day PCI, IR, EP, Cath, and PV lab patient populations
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
