Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring cardiovascular intervention experience and a WI or compact RN license.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab setting within a hospital and trauma center
- Day shift schedule with an on-call rotation
- On-call required one night per week and one weekend per month
Requirements
- Active WI or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required
- 3 years of RN experience with 1 year in critical care required
- Cardiovascular intervention experience required
- Must successfully pass an EKG test
Additional Information
- Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
- Administer medications and treatments per approved nursing standards and policies
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians
- Provide patient and family education tailored to their level of understanding
- Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
- Utilize clinical expertise to support patients' longitudinal care plans and resolve system issues
- Escalate complex or safety-related situations to the appropriate chain of command
- Engage in continuous professional development and evidence-based practice initiatives
- Participate in peer review and feedback opportunities
