Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) for a 13-week, 3x12 day shift contract in a critical care setting.

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
• Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (license required if applicable)
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• BLS (AHA) required upon hire
• ACLS (AHA) required within 3 months of hire
• RRT credential required within 12 months of hire
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• 2 years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred
• Knowledge of respiratory equipment operation, repair, and clinical decision-making related to pulmonary and cardiac systems
• Good interpersonal and computer skills
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Respiratory Care department providing services to patients of all appropriate age levels
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• Performs invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients
• Serves as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Uses a computerized medical record system for documentation
• Administers therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff
• Acts as a resource to medical staff on respiratory care matters
• Ensures respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
• Maintains accurate respiratory therapy records
• Provides age-appropriate care across all patient populations
• Does not accept candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
• Facility strictly enforces credentialing and compliance deadlines with no start date flexibility
• Returning workers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, then require a 6-month separation before reapplying
• 30-day written notice required for early cancellation or end of assignment
