Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with 2+ years of experience for a hospital position working night shifts on a rotating schedule.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• RRT license required; CRT accepted
• Active Compact or State License in hand required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Driver's license required, with address matching permanent address
• Flu vaccine required, with medical and religious exemptions considered case-by-case
• 2 professional references required: one Charge or higher and one Supervisor, both completed within the last year

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
• Primarily adult patient population with potential for pediatric patients
• Night shift, rotating 3x12 and 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Rotating schedule totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Every other weekend required
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Must be willing to accept an 84 hours per two-week rotating schedule (one week 3x12, next week 4x12)
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if presented upfront; no changes accepted once approved
• Must work either a major or minor holiday shift for every holiday
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
• Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
• After working one year, travelers must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Any license or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
