American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of pediatric hospital experience and Level III/IV NICU exposure for a day shift assignment.
Requirements
- RRT certification required
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- OH state license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a pediatric hospital setting
- Level III or IV NICU experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Experience with arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation
- Skilled in medication delivery systems including nebulizers, MDIs, and aerosol setups
- Experience with neonatal/pediatric airway management and suctioning procedures
- Two supervisory references required, with at least one being manager or supervisor titled
Responsibilities
- Pediatric hospital setting including NICU and Pediatric Critical Care units
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Floating required to different units depending on assignment needs
- Works with Nitric Oxide (iNO) therapy and medication administration
- Utilizes ventilator management equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and high frequency oscillators
- Performs airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care
- Provide respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients including Ped Cardiac ICU cases
- Perform sputum specimen collection and tracheostomy care/management
- Candidates who have worked in a permanent position at the facility within the last 2 years are not eligible
- 60-mile radius rule applies for local candidates
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
