American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with 2+ years of experience for a day shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital.
Job Details
• Work in the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics (CRT) unit of a short-term acute care hospital,
• Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital setting,
• Care for both adult and pediatric patients in the ICU,
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM,
• Weekend work required every other weekend,
• Holiday coverage required,
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including between like units and to sister campuses,
• No on-call requirements,
• Uses Epic EMR,
Job Requirements
• RRT or CRT certification,
• Minimum 2 years of experience required,
• State or compact license required to begin assignment - license required if applicable,
• Pending licenses not accepted,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients,
• At least 1 supervisor reference required,
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration,
Additional Information
• Provide respiratory and neuro diagnostic care within a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment,
• Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white,
• Maximum of 4 days RTO allowed, with only 1 holiday able to be approved,
• All callouts for scheduled shifts require a makeup shift as deemed necessary by the department,
• Day shift assignments may only be extended once; extension limits vary for night shift,
• Travelers must wait 6 months after reaching extension limits before reapplying,
• Previous employees must have a 1-year gap before returning as a traveler,
• Local candidates not accepted within 50 miles of the main campus,
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
