Job Requirements

• Current RRT or CRT credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)n
• Active Ohio Respiratory Care Professional Board licensure or compact license in hand at time of submissionn
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Associationn
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Associationn
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificationn
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Associationn
• Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent specialty experience preferredn
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environmentn

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of respiratory treatmentsn
• Develop and implement plans of care based on patient diagnosis, condition, and treatment goalsn
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status accurately and promptlyn
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities as needed in an acute care settingn
• Evaluate respiratory therapy interventions and medication administration based on patient outcomesn
• Educate patients and families about illness management and available community resourcesn
• Respond appropriately in stressful situations and take decisive action when neededn
• Complete additional duties as assigned to support excellent patient care and team collaborationn
