Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Level 4 Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) to join a high-performing clinical team at the Cherokee Nation Outpatient Health Center. This role requires a skilled perioperative nurse with strong surgical support experience, excellent patient care standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile field in compliance with safety protocols
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures
- Monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or compact, as applicable)
- Minimum 2–3 years of recent Operating Room (OR) experience
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- BLS certification (required)
- ACLS certification (preferred)
