Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled RN- OB to bring compassionate, high-level care to mothers and newborns in a supportive community hospital setting. We are also seeking a confident and skilled RN for its Obstetrics Acute Care unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated, patient-centered nursing care
- Monitor antepartum and postpartum patients
- Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families throughout the care journey
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care
- Exercise strong clinical judgment and independent decision‑making
- Supervise and coordinate support staff activities
- Step into recovery support in Labor & Delivery when needed
- Assist in cesarean section deliveries and newborn transitions
Required
- Active California RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- NRP Certification
- Ability to recover Labor & Delivery patients
- Experience assisting in cesarean births
- Acute care nursing experience preferred
Preferred
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
- Previous OB or maternal-child acute care experience
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
