Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a group of Med/Surg patients according to the nursing process and standards of care
• Collect relevant patient data, perform ongoing assessments, and document findings in the EPIC EMR
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; administer and monitor medications within scope; intervene as needed to stabilize patient condition
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team; delegate appropriately and supervise assigned staff
• Participate in discharge planning and provide patient/family education to support safe transition and continuity of care; maintain a safe, healing environment

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) or eligible for licensure in the state of assignment
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Med/Surg or a related acute care setting
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification also required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• BSN education preferred
• Ability to work a travel assignment for 13 weeks in Fort Bragg and fulfill a 3x12-hour day shift schedule
