Travel Registered Nurse - Med Surg - $2,203 per week

Responsibilities

• Med/Surge Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
• Responsibilities include consulting and coordinating with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and manage patient medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, initiate corrective actions for adverse symptoms.
• Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients.
• Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform dressing changes, catheter insertions, start IVs, and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols.
• Participate in discharge planning and utilize time management skills.
• Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Must have 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Must have Wyoming RN or multi-state RN license.
• Candidates may be responsible for taking care of pediatric/adolescent patients occasionally (no dedicated pediatric unit).
• Candidates might need to float between Lander and Riverton campuses depending on facility census.

Schedule Information

• Contract length is 13 weeks.
