Responsibilities

• Administer hemodialysis treatments per physician orders and approved protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient status during dialysis, including vital signs, fluid balance, and recognition of potential complications.
• Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot dialysis equipment; perform required machine checks and respond to alarms promptly.
• Document care and treatment in the electronic health record (Cerner) and communicate changes to the nephrology team.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide patient education, maintain infection control standards, and uphold safety policies.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Dialysis nursing experience
• Cerner EMR experience
• Fresenius-T dialysis equipment experience
• Ability to work a 3x12-hour schedule including days and nights
• Willingness to travel to Scottsbluff, NE for a 13-week assignment
