American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a night shift contract role requiring 1+ years of experience and Wisconsin licensure.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar radiology setting, with most recent experience within the last year
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required
- Wisconsin license required if applicable
- Experience with fluoroscopy, trauma, general, OR, inpatient, and outpatient patient types
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Must be able to care for patients ranging from pediatric (including neonates/NICU) to adult
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
- Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Responsibilities
- Level IV Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center teaching hospital with 228 beds
- Radiology department includes 2 general rooms, 2 fluoroscopy rooms, and 2 ED rooms
- Cares for patient population ranging from pediatrics (including neonates/NICU) through adult
- Handles fluoroscopy, trauma, general, OR, inpatient, and outpatient patient types
- Average daily census of approximately 100 patients through the department
- Travelers typically perform general x-ray studies including head, neck, spine, extremities, abdomen, hands, feet, and chest
- Travelers typically do not perform OR or fluoro cases
- 10-hour night shift schedule, , Monday through Thursday
- 40 standard hours per week with a typically set schedule
- Uses EPIC EMR, Alaris, Pyxis, McKesson PACS, and Fuji, Siemens, and GE equipment
- May float to perform portables throughout the facility
- On-call requirements vary, with a 30-minute response time; no call if working weekends
- Support on the unit includes a Manager/Supervisor during the day, Lead Tech 24/7, onsite Radiologist reading during the day and offsite at night, Hospitalist, RT 24/7, and Rapid Response/Code Team
- Orientation includes NEO and up to 1 week of unit orientation
- Weekend rotation requirements vary depending on need
- If a holiday falls on a scheduled shift, the candidate will be expected to work it
- RTO requests go through the manager for approval
- Scrubs may be any color except denim or camo, and must maintain a professional appearance
- Free parking is available in designated employee areas
- Covid vaccine required
- First-time travelers considered if they have more than 2 years of experience, though travel experience is preferred
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius rules
- Former employees of Advocate Health or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible for travel assignments
