Travel Radiology Technologist - X-Ray

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for an acute care hospital, requiring ARRT (R), BLS, and at least 1 year of experience.

Requirements

• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification required
• CRT (California Radiologic Technologist) license required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Skilled in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Knowledge of radiation safety and infection prevention practices

Responsibilities

• 13-week assignment in the X-Ray department of an acute care hospital
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Uses Epic charting system
• Patient ratio of 1:40
• Performs general radiographic procedures including abdomen, chest, spine, upper and lower extremity, and skull imaging
• Performs fluoroscopy studies including barium swallow, contrast enema, and arthrography
• Performs mobile and surgical imaging including C-arm procedures, portable chest, and portable abdomen
• Works across adult acute care, outpatient, ED, ICU, OR, and bedside/portable settings
• Equipment used includes GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, PACS, and O-ARM
• Performs diagnostic imaging across multiple patient populations and clinical settings including trauma cases
• May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Any color scrubs permitted

• Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with the health system, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
