Responsibilities

• Perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations on patients across age ranges, with emphasis on Philips MRI systems
• Screen patients for MRI safety, obtain informed consent, and position patients to optimize image quality
• Select appropriate coils, sequences, and parameters per order and patient needs; monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the exam
• Maintain strict adherence to imaging protocols and quality control measures; verify orders and document procedures in the electronic health record (Epic or equivalent)
• Collaborate with radiologists and the imaging team in a teaching hospital environment; communicate findings and ensure accurate labeling of images
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, screen for contraindications, and manage imaging scheduling within a 16-week travel assignment

Requirements

• Active MR imaging licensure (ARRT or ARMRIT) with MRI advanced licensure
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience
• Philips MRI system experience required
• Epic experience within the past 2 years required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred; prior travel experience preferred
• Ability to work in a high-volume teaching setting with facility-specific documentation requirements
