Overview

CT Technologist (Radiology) needed for a travel - temporary assignment in an outpatient imaging department within a hospital setting, located in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date June 22, 2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay: $2,665–$2,812 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0 per week. Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts (40 hours per week). This assignment includes CT imaging with additional modalities performed in the outpatient imaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
• Perform a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including bone densitometry, general radiography, and fluoroscopy, in an outpatient setting.
• Ensure proper patient positioning, safety, and comfort; communicate procedures to patients and obtain cooperation as needed.
• Maintain image quality and accurate documentation in the patient record; adhere to radiation safety standards and departmental protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other imaging staff to coordinate procedures and ensure timely patient care.
• Participate in routine quality assurance and equipment checks as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience operating CT imaging equipment and producing diagnostic-quality images
• Ability to perform bone densitometry, general radiography, and fluoroscopy as part of imaging procedures
• Comfortable working in an outpatient imaging department within a hospital setting
• Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work daytime shifts, 40 hours per week
