American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with 1+ year experience for an outpatient cancer center offering radiation therapy and CyberKnife radiosurgery.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start of assignment (license required if applicable)
- Ability to accurately position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters
- Experience maintaining and adjusting linear accelerator equipment
Responsibilities
- Freestanding outpatient cancer treatment center providing cancer rehabilitation and radiation therapy services
- Utilizes CyberKnife radiosurgery system
- Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 15:30
- 13-week assignment length
- Deliver patient treatment plans in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist
- Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS with correct lead markers and patient data
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage area
- Accepts local candidates, subject to a radius rule that may affect pay rate
