Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $2,465 per week

Job Description & Requirements

TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Wichita, Kansas. The assignment is for 13 weeks, 48 hours per week, on 12‑hour night shifts. 1–2 years recent acute care experience is required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start intravenous lines.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring data indicates adverse symptomatology.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with 1–2 years acute care experience.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH. Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift at least 20 pounds routinely, and up to 50 pounds when necessary.
• Strong stress‑management skills and the ability to interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Compensation & Benefits
