Progressive Care RN - Nights

Hilo, HI Acute Care

Contract Night Shift (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) Expected 36 hours/week No call required

• Provide primary nursing care on a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit, including a 3-bed Step Down ICU and 12-bed telemetry unit
• Perform telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip reading for assigned patients
• Conduct fingerstick blood sugar monitoring and other bedside assessments
• Operate unit equipment including BIPAP, continuous cardiac monitoring, Meditech charting, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step Down ICU
• Float to other acute units within the facility, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and Emergency departments as needed

• Active State of Hawaii RN license required by assignment start date - candidates without a current HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer
• Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Ability to work night shifts and float to all acute units in-house
• Professional scrubs required per dress code

• Progressive Care and telemetry nursing experience strongly preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• Current PALS certification preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
