American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient setting requiring 1 year of outpatient experience and an AZ license (license required if applicable). Details
Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting 13-week assignment with Day shift schedule, 5x8 Hours, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Treats patients with orthopedic conditions including cervicalgia, low back pain, post-op cervical/shoulder/spinal surgery, and total hip/knee replacements Treats patients with neurologic conditions including cognitive disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury Utilizes modalities and exercise equipment available in the facility Performs post-offer testing such as WorkSTEPS or APET Performs Work Hardening Evaluations and Functional Capacity Evaluations Conducts ergonomic evaluations and job analyses Any charting system experience accepted Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient setting Current BLS certification required AZ PT license required if applicable, with proof of pending licensure accepted before start date Experience with home exercise programs and patient/family education Knowledge of body mechanics and assessment techniques Understanding of billing codes for various payer types Additional Information
Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients per physician referral or direct access Supervises physical therapy assistants and PT technicians in following plans of care Communicates patient progress to rehab nurses on a weekly basis Maintains communication with referring physicians through timely evaluation and progress notes Assists with scheduling, answering phones, and taking referrals as needed May support marketing and business development efforts, including relationship building with referral sources and participation in community events Open to first-time travelers
