Travel Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) position located in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves providing inpatient rehabilitation therapy in a newly established 41-bed inpatient facility, with involvement in daily treatment, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, and caregiver training. The clinician will work on a day shift, supporting patient recovery in a state-of-the-art environment.
Job Details:
Location: 833 North Vassar Ave, Wichita, KS 67208
Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Bachelors or masters degree in physical therapy, Kansas State licensure, 6 months current acute care physical therapy experience, BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation settings, neuro certification/experience
Responsibilities: Conduct daily evaluations and treatments, including gait training and neuromuscular re-education, ensure patient treatment time charges are accurately tracked, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary staff.
Type of Staff: Therapy staff including PTs, PTAs, OTs, and SLPs, working within a team on a 41-bed unit.
Typical Procedures: Evaluation and treatment, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, caregiver training.
Additional Information: The facility is equipped with modern technologies, full IADL kitchen, and new equipment. Staff are experienced, and scheduling offers flexibility. The role requires rotating weekends.
