Travel Physical Therapist - Home Health

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment requiring home health experience and an MI license.

Requirements

• Current MI license required (if applicable)
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Home health experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Valid, active driver's license in good standing required
• Must have daily availability of a personal vehicle for business use and proof of insurance
• Proof of Flu vaccination required with submission, or exemption requested within 48 hours of signing

Responsibilities

• Home health setting covering Van Buren, Calhoun, and Kalamazoo counties
• Full-time day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weekend rotation required every 4-6 weeks
• No call requirement and no floating required
• Documentation completed in the electronic health record per compliance timelines
• Responsibilities include evaluating and administering physical therapy treatment for patients with injuries or musculoskeletal, nerve, or joint conditions
• Duties include establishing treatment plans, conducting patient and family education, and participating in interdisciplinary rounds and discussions
• May design and fabricate splints and assistive devices as needed
• May provide cross coverage in other Rehabilitation Services departments as needed
• Serves as a clinical resource and provides in‑services within the Rehabilitation System
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days
• Locals accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
• Travelers are expected to float first when needed
