American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment in Kaua'i, requiring 1+ year of home health experience and HI licensure. Details
Home health setting serving patients in their residences Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 13-week assignment length May occasionally require floating to cover Oahu, Maui, and/or Big Island with float expenses paid Uses HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) for documentation Productivity requirement of 25 units per week Requirements
Minimum 1 year of home health experience required Minimum 3 months of OASIS documentation experience required BLS certification (AHA) required HI state license required (license required if applicable) License must be in-hand at time of consideration Skilled in geriatrics, neurology, and orthopedics Experience with adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and wheelchair assessments Experience treating patients with COPD, CHF, CABG, cystic fibrosis, emphysema, MI, and PVD Experience with post-op spinal surgery, total hip/knee replacement, and post-stroke rehabilitation Experience with cognitive disorders including dementia, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's disease Proficient in OASIS, plan of care development, and RUG level assessments Wound care, acute care, and lymphedema management experience preferred Experience with neurodevelopmental technique (NDT) and spinal cord/traumatic brain injury preferred Additional Information
Provide home-based physical therapy services to older adult patients, including geriatric care in a scenic island setting Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, discharge planning, and reassessments Develop and implement home exercise programs and provide patient/family education Conduct safety and injury prevention education, including identification of signs of abuse Scrubs (any color) and closed-toed shoes required First-time travelers are welcome to apply
