American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of inpatient acute care experience for a weekend day shift position at an acute care hospital in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Details
Acute care hospital setting, PT unit Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts on weekends, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM Patient ratio: 1:1 Patient population includes orthopedic conditions such as total hip/knee replacement, hip fractures, post-op spinal and shoulder surgeries, low back pain, degenerative disc and joint disease, and rheumatoid arthritis Epic EMR experience preferred 13-week contract Requirements
Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care PT experience required Current BLS certification required WI PT license or Compact license required; pending license accepted, but must be obtained prior to start Proficiency in orthopedic assessment skills including AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, pain assessment, and gait training Experience with standard PT equipment including walkers, gait belts, and crutches Ability to develop and document plans of care, goals, evaluations, reassessments, and discharge summaries SSN and DOB required for consideration Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance All RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration License required if applicable Additional Information
Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, patient and family education, home exercise program development, and safety/injury prevention Billing experience across commercial, Medicare B, Medicaid, private pay, and workers' compensation is valued Previous charge experience preferred Outpatient clinic experience is a preferred but not required secondary work setting NIHSS certification may be pending at submission but must be completed during compliance Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been separated for a minimum of 1 year before returning Travel pairs are accepted Candidates with latex allergies cannot be accommodated at this facility First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted
