Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; effective communication skills in English
Additional Qualifications: For PT Clinical Specialist, must meet all above qualifications and have documentation of Specialist Certification
Responsibilities:
Evaluate new patients, set treatment goals, and establish treatment programs
Administer diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests to assess impairment and prognosis
Perform appropriate treatment modalities and re-evaluate patient progress, modifying plans as needed
Document patient care objectively and communicate effectively with medical and allied health personnel
Provide instruction and education to patients and families on therapeutic procedures
Assist in training new personnel and provide guidance to Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, and students
Maintain departmental policies, participate in quality initiatives, and comply with safety standards
Attend meetings and engage in professional growth through education, literature, in-service meetings, and workshops
Maintain accurate daily statistical records of patient activity and charges
Perform additional related duties as assigned
